This course covers basic tools and techniques in 3ds Max Design 2012. When you are done with this course you will have built a model and photo-realistic rendering of a chess set. We begin with an overview of the graphic user interface, setting up a project, and solid and spline modeling techniques. Once the chess set and pieces are modeled we move on to material & lighting basics as well as Mental Ray rendering techniques.
