In this course, Ramy Hanna will show you the entire process of taking an exterior building model through all the important steps required to create a convincing photo-real rendering.

First, you will learn how to model the surrounding site and hardscape. Then, you will learn how to add textures and lighting to the building. Finally, you will learn how to embellish the site with landscape and entourage.

When you are done with this course, you'll know how to model a site in 3ds Max as well as set-dress an exterior scene with landscape and trees. There are 2 parts to this course:

Part 1- Exterior Renderings in 3ds Max: You will learn how to take an exterior building model through all the important steps required to create a convincing photo-real rendering.

Part 2- Photoshop for Architectural Renderings: You will learn how to significantly enhance the color and quality of any photograph, including architectural renderings.

In this course, Ramy Hanna from Tilt Pixel will show you how to create a realistic rendering of an interior scene with Vray for 3ds Max.

First you will learn how to bring a floorplan into 3ds Max, model the walls, windows, and millwork from the drawing, and add furniture and decor to the space. Then, you will learn how to do texturing, lighting, and rendering the scene using the basic render settings involved in lighting and materials. Finally you will learn how to take your reder elements from Vray for 3ds Max and bring them into Photoshop for post processing.

When you are done with this course you will know how to model and import elements in 3ds Max, utilize lighting and material render settings in Vray, and touch up your rendering in Photoshop to make it look photorealistic.

In this Architecture Software Crash Course Jorge Berrero from Gensler will show you how to utilize the most popular architectural software on the market, including Revit, AutoCAD, 3ds Max Design, Sketchup, Rhino, and Grasshopper, highlighting their strengths and demonstrating when and why you would want to use each one.

First you will learn the basic modeling tools used in these different software to create terrain, floor slabs and outlines, the basic house structure, and how to create curtain walls. Then, you will learn how to utilize plug-ins such as Grasshopper, how to use displacement maps to bring in images to your project, and how to share projects between different software. Finally you will learn the basics of creating a rendering and when to use Photoshop versus Illustrator.

When you are done with this course you will know how to use the basic tools for modeling and drawing in different software, how they differ, the common components they share, and ultimately how to choose the right tool for the job.

This Course will take you through an entire production process to create stunning architectural renderings, from start to finish.  When you are finished you will create a photo-realistic rendering of the interior of a house.  There are 3 parts to this course:

Part 1- Building a 3d Model in Sketchup: You will gain an understanding of the basics of Sketchup and how to take 2d CAD drawings and build a finished 3d model.  Then you will cover strategies for how to utilize materials and cameras so that you can leverage them in 3ds Max Design.

Part 2- Materials, Lighting & Rendering in 3ds Max Design: You will import the fully textured Sketchup model into 3ds Max Design and set up materials, lights and produce a final rendering.  You will also produce ambient occlusion and Z-depth renderings for use in post production.

Part 3- Post Production in Photoshop or After Effects: Ramy will show you how to bring these renderings into either Adobe After Effects or Adobe Photoshop for post production to finalize your Rendering.  In both tools he will show you how to create effects such as Lens Flare, Vignetting, Depth of Field and Unsharpen Mask.

This course covers basic tools and techniques in 3ds Max Design 2012.  When you are done with this course you will have built a model and photo-realistic rendering of a chess set.  We begin with an overview of the graphic user interface, setting up a project, and solid and spline modeling techniques.  Once the chess set and pieces are modeled we move on to material & lighting basics as well as Mental Ray rendering techniques.
