In this Architecture Software Crash Course Jorge Berrero from Gensler will show you how to utilize the most popular architectural software on the market, including Revit, AutoCAD, 3ds Max Design, Sketchup, Rhino, and Grasshopper, highlighting their strengths and demonstrating when and why you would want to use each one. 

First you will learn the basic modeling tools used in these different software to create terrain, floor slabs and outlines, the basic house structure, and how to create curtain walls. Then, you will learn how to utilize plug-ins such as Grasshopper, how to use displacement maps to bring in images to your project, and how to share projects between different software. Finally you will learn the basics of creating a rendering and when to use Photoshop versus Illustrator. 

When you are done with this course you will know how to use the basic tools for modeling and drawing in different software, how they differ, the common components they share, and ultimately how to choose the right tool for the job.

In this AutoCAD 2015 tutorial course Jason will show you everything you need to know to create design drawings for an early-stage design.

First you will learn how to work with Templates, Styles & Pallettes so you can work efficiently. Then, you will learn how to get started drawing plans and learn how to work with blocks and hatches. Finally you will learn how to do some basic 3d modeling, how to create views and layouts and how to export your AutoCAD file or drawing into other tools like Adobe Illustrator or Rhino or 3ds Max.

When you are done with this course you will know how to develop early-stage design drawings in AutoCAD and how you can get those drawings into other software so you can work efficiently and create beautiful work.

This introduction will cover AutoCAD basics and show you how to utilize all of the basic tools of AutoCAD 2012. In doing so, we will put together a small floor plan and print it from a sheet with our own title block. These tools are the backbone to using AutoCAD 2012 as a design tool.
