In this course, Ramy Hanna will teach you a basic understanding of Photoshop, all the way to using advanced tools such as actions.

First, you will learn the basics of Photoshop starting with setting up various windows and gaining a basic understanding of the tools. Then, you will learn how to add additional elements and blend them into a rendering or photo seamlessly. Finally, you will learn how to manipulate existing photos, and how to remove or add elements with a photo.

When you are done with this course, you'll know how to significantly enhance the color and quality of any photograph, including architectural renderings. There are 2 parts to this course:

Part 1- Exterior Renderings in 3ds Max: You will learn how to take an exterior building model through all the important steps required to create a convincing photo-real rendering.

Part 2- Photoshop for Architectural Renderings: You will learn how to significantly enhance the color and quality of any photograph, including architectural renderings.

In this Architecture Software Crash Course Jorge Berrero from Gensler will show you how to utilize the most popular architectural software on the market, including Revit, AutoCAD, 3ds Max Design, Sketchup, Rhino, and Grasshopper, highlighting their strengths and demonstrating when and why you would want to use each one.

First you will learn the basic modeling tools used in these different software to create terrain, floor slabs and outlines, the basic house structure, and how to create curtain walls. Then, you will learn how to utilize plug-ins such as Grasshopper, how to use displacement maps to bring in images to your project, and how to share projects between different software. Finally you will learn the basics of creating a rendering and when to use Photoshop versus Illustrator.

When you are done with this course you will know how to use the basic tools for modeling and drawing in different software, how they differ, the common components they share, and ultimately how to choose the right tool for the job.

This course is a guide to using SketchUp and Photoshop to produce a quick and effective, schematic project. The guide follows a logic similar to an architecture studio project, in that we will use existing site parameters to develop a building. The 3D modeled content will be exported and as a high quality 2D image and then refined in Photoshop.

This Course will take you through an entire production process to create stunning architectural renderings, from start to finish.  When you are finished you will create a photo-realistic rendering of the interior of a house.  There are 3 parts to this course:

Part 1- Building a 3d Model in Sketchup: You will gain an understanding of the basics of Sketchup and how to take 2d CAD drawings and build a finished 3d model.  Then you will cover strategies for how to utilize materials and cameras so that you can leverage them in 3ds Max Design.

Part 2- Materials, Lighting & Rendering in 3ds Max Design: You will import the fully textured Sketchup model into 3ds Max Design and set up materials, lights and produce a final rendering.  You will also produce ambient occlusion and Z-depth renderings for use in post production.

Part 3- Post Production in Photoshop or After Effects: Ramy will show you how to bring these renderings into either Adobe After Effects or Adobe Photoshop for post production to finalize your Rendering.  In both tools he will show you how to create effects such as Lens Flare, Vignetting, Depth of Field and Unsharpen Mask.

This course will arm you with an understanding and the techniques of photography, so you can create photo-realistic renderings.  This course begins with examples of photographic principles & techniques: Mood & Lighting, Staging and Composition (Rule of Thirds, Straight Verticals, Diagonals to Corners, and Avoiding Coincident Edges).  Next is a review of photographic phenomenon: Glare & Bloom, Lens Flare, Chromatic Abberation, Vignetting, Geometric Distortion & Grain).  Finally it all comes together in a demonstration of how to apply these principles and techniques in Photoshop CS 5.5
