Connection to Public Transportation

42s

Jon Bailey of HKS - Dallas walks through the Pacific Plaza Park Pavillion the team is working on. He’ll talk structural systems & materials and design iterations. You’ll be walked through how they handled site specific opportunities and site analysis for this public space project.

The park is actually on an existing service parking lot right now, it houses around 300 vehicles that'll be vacated when the park starts. There are many public transportation options available, including the DART, which is Dallas's light rail. All four lines run through downtown right next to the site. It's also connected to the M-line which is the trolley that runs and connects downtown to uptown. Several blocks, maybe two blocks away, there's also a large bus stop. Many people travel from the Saint Paul DART stop to the bus station and so it's very connected to public transportation options other than just vehicular transportation.
