In this ARE 5.0 Practice Management Exam Prep course you will learn about the topics covered in the ARE 5.0 PcM exam division. A complete and comprehensive curriculum, this course will touch on each of the NCARB objectives for the ARE 5.0 Practice Management Exam.

Instructor Mike Newman will discuss issues related to pre-contract tasks including negotiation, human resource management and consultant development.

When you are done with this course, you will have a thorough understanding of the content covered in the ARE 5.0 Practice Management Exam including business structure, business development, and asset development and protection.

So, how we're gonna tackle this information is through a series of lectures. And those lectures will be in the same order as the ARE 5.0 objectives. And the thought here is that the lectures give you sort of a general background, and this sort of way of thinking of all these different issues. But then, we'll find a series of different ways to sort of expand that thinking. So, we're gonna have some guest lecturers. We'll use some example projects. We'll talk about some various kinds of questions and we'll go into studio settings and look at some case studies. We're also gonna talk about some sort of scenario ideas. And the reason that we're talking about scenarios is that the NCARB folks have decided that they're gonna move away from direct-type questions.

So the idea is, you shouldn't be getting questions like, how many square feet are there in an acre, or something like that. The idea is that they'll be presenting more a series of pieces of information that you as the test-taker, have to sort of put together into a scenario, and to make a sort of logical assumption from that. So we have the lectures for the overall context, and then we use the examples for the sort of real-world, kind of how you leap from the lectures into those scenarios.
